Ronnie Hughes' solo show at the Molesworth was one of three staged in Leinster in 2025 that were nominated for the International Association of Art Critics Honorary Prize, while Catherine Barron's solo show at the Waterford Gallery of Art was one of three nominated in Munster.
Inspired by an initiative of the Belgian section of AICA, the scheme was established by a committee of eight members to award an artist and/or curator a symbolic prize for an outstanding exhibition each year.
