The Arts Council of Ireland acquires work by Gillian Lawler

The Arts Council of Ireland has acquired ‘Urban Mountain 2’ by Gillian Lawler for its collection.
The writer and curator Catherine Marshall has written of Lawler’s work that her “incredibly subtle treatment of colour, texture and scale, make it a celebration of everything that is good in painting”. ‘Urban Mountain 2’ exemplifies that view.
